I am Barbra, a thirty something girl living in Southern California, working in animation production.  You may ask what animation production and knitting have to do with each other. Recently, I was lucky enough to assist with the knitting portions of Disney’s 50th animated feature, Tangled. (You can read about it here or in the summer 2011 issue of Vogue Knitting.)  Working on Tangled, combined with years of knitting, helped me come to the realizations that my true passion in life is knitting.  It brings me inner peace, happiness, and a creative outlet.

Knitting is a gift from my late Grandma; she loved knitting and made many beautiful things for me growing up. Sadly, I didn’t take up knitting till many years after her passing. Now, I would give anything in the world to be able to knit with her. I know she is watching over me, making sure I don’t drop any stitches.

Facebook came on the scene when I was a young adult in college, and like most young adults, I quickly adopted it as a primary means of communication.
